Tom chairs the firm’s litigation practice group along-side Paul McGoldrick.  Tom has experience representing clients in commercial disputes as well as in litigation involving personal injury, premises liability, product liability, medical malpractice, employment law, and construction law.  Tom has extensive experience trying cases in both state and federal courts, and continues to coordinate the defense of cases filed against major, nationwide organizations.  Tom has been lead counsel for clients involved in some of the largest construction defect suits in Arizona.  He also led the successful defense of a case which, when filed in the federal district court in Arizona, was the largest mold case in North America.  In 2007 he obtained the largest jury verdict in the history of Coconino County.  As a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, Tom has considerable experience representing clients in jury trials, whether plaintiffs or defendants.

The State Bar of Arizona has certified Tom as a specialist in personal injury and wrongful death litigation since 1999.  Martindale-Hubbell, one of the largest law firm listings in the United States, has consistently given Tom its highest “AV” rating, based upon the opinions of other lawyers in Arizona. He has been selected for inclusion in Arizona's Finest Attorney's. Tom has also been listed by Southwest SuperLawyers from 2008 through 2010, a distinction afforded to only the top 5% of the practicing bar. Tom was recently elected into the American College of Trial Lawyers. As one of the firm’s original partners, Tom focuses his practice on the representation of clients in the Phoenix metropolitan area, but continues to represent numerous northern Arizona and national clients.
